Meet Dr. Luecke
Dr. Percy "Bud" Luecke III
Dr. Luecke loves his job as an orthodontist. He takes great pride in his work, and in the relationships he builds with his patients. Patient care is the most important part of his job. Dr. Luecke focuses on treating his patients with kindness, understanding, and respect. Not only is Dr. Luecke a Board Certified Orthodontist, but his good-natured personality and friendly sense of humor make him a great orthodontist for patients of all ages and treatment needs.
Education
Dr. Luecke's education has provided him with a strong foundation in orthodontics. Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Luecke attended Macalester College where he majored in Biology. He then continued his education at the University of Texas in Austin where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.
He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in 1987, and his Masters of Science (MSD) degree from Saint Louis University, program in Orthodontics. He began practicing orthodontics in 1989, and has been proud to serve San Antonio and the surrounding communities ever since.
Continuing Education
Wanting to provide his patients with the highest quality care, Dr. Luecke regularly participates in continuing education opportunities. He has been a member of the faculty in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio since 1989. He also has extensive experience using the Invisalign® system, and is a member of several professional orthodontic and dental organizations, including the:
- American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)
- American Dental Association (ADA)
- American Board of Orthodontics (ABO)
- Orthodontic Education Research Foundation (OERF)
Sharing his love of orthodontics with future generations of professionals, Dr. Luecke is also an assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School.
Commitment to Community and Patients
Dr. Luecke enjoys being a part of the community, and discovering all that this wonderful area has to offer. He is also a supporter of our military, and believes in doing what he can to support our troops overseas and at home. He is proud to assist military families with their orthodontic needs, and specializes in helping families and members of the military who relocate to Texas during active orthodontic treatment.
